Welcome to Thyme on the River, a Bed & Breakfast We are located on the Coeur D'Alene River. You will find this is not a traditional B&B. Instead, with a wildlife decor, the atmosphere is inviting, comfortable & relaxing. Gale is a delightful cook & award winning baker. There are many choices, so depending on when you choose to visit, the menu will reflect the flavors of the season. This is a charming location to celebrate an Anniversary or milestone Birthday. Also a great location for a club social, small business meeting or holiday celebration. You may enjoy dining around the free standing fireplace or outdoor on the deck listening to the river drifting by.

Dan, an avid angler finds fly-fishing to be at its peak during the spring and fall. Our guest may find very good fishing holes right at the property.

There are many activities here in the beautiful Historic Silver Valley. Everyday is an adventure. Each season has something special to offer everyone. Relax & Explore the Valley. From shopping, museums and fine dining to the outdoor enthusiast with hunting/fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, alpine or cross-country skiing, bicycling, mt biking, biking on the trails, canoeing/rafting, golf and tennis. Those who prefer a more leisurely pace can relax here at the Inn. There is a large deck & wrap-a-round porch where you may sit quietly and catch a glimpse of the wildlife, watch the wide variety of birds, listen to the river drifting by and take in the view of the mountains.

About The Owners

Dan & Gale own this 3-story home. They have enjoyed transforming it into the Bed & Breakfast it is today. A place our guests may enjoy a pleasant visit and create long lasting memories. Both grew up, Married in 1973 and raised two sons, John & Eddie in San Francisco/Bay area. Both of ours sons are in the United States Army National Guard. Dan a retired garbage-man from Sunset Scavengers, San Francisco enjoys interest in Fly-Fishing, hot rods and gardening. Gale has been a homemaker, worked for many years with the school district to be close to their sons along the way perfecting her skills of cooking/baking, knitting/sewing, home decor and gardening with the goal of one day opening their own B&B. She has collected many ribbons for her efforts in baking and knitting along the way. Dan & Gale both participate in volunterring their time & talents with several organizations/charities in their community. They each have a gift for hospitality and look forward to welcoming you for a visit.
